Our resident poetry group, The Barn Poets, are publishing their first collective works after just one year of working together.
To celebrate and promote their book, they’re going to be performing some of their works at our Winter Fayre on the 22nd of November (just one week away!!), between 4pm and 9pm.
For a little more information on the Barn Poets’ new book, here’s the write up…
“THE BARN POETS are publishing their first collaborative poetry book after only just over one year of working together. Twelve poets have come together to create this book, offering you humour and sadness in equal measure. Within these pages are poems that encourage us to laugh at ourselves as we get in a fix or take a quizzical look at our own short comings; poems that record individual loss, and national loss; poems that simply appreciate the wealth of the beauty around us. Thirty six poems for slightly more than the price of a cup of coffee has to be a bargain! You will dip in and out of it again and again, finding new meanings and relevance in these words.
We will be performing these and other works on Thurs 22nd Nov at 5pm during The Bookbarn Winter Fayre. Come and join us!”
Don’t miss an evening of fun, festivity and late night shopping.
